A Kentucky couple is being investigated by Child Protective Services for daring to take their children with them on a trip to the bank amid the COVID-19 social-distancing scare. It was early March when Bill and Kristy decided to run errands and bring their seven children along. President Trump on Thursday downplayed the meat shortage crisis that is expected to unfold across America in the first and second week in May.  He said he's "not at all" worried about the food supply chain. Despite Tyson Foods on Sunday, in a full-page ad in the New York Times, warned that the nation's " food supply chain is breaking ."  Perhaps President Trump feels confident because he signed an  executive order  invoking the Defense Production Act to force meatpacking plants to stay open. The president said he expects the food supply chain to be stronger than ever.  Bloomberg  quoted USDA Secretary Sonny Perdue as saying shuttered meatpacking plants will be operational in "days not weeks" thanks to the president's executive order.  Perdue said workers at meatpacking facilities would receive a new attire that includes the protective gear that will better shield them from COVID-19. In a new undercover investigation,  Project Veritas  spoke to funeral home directors throughout the five boroughs who said the COVID-19 death toll is being artificially inflated. “To be honest with you, all of the death certificates are writing COVID on it, they’re writing COVID on all the death certificates,” the director of the Colonial Funeral Home on Staten Island, Michael Lanza, told an undercover  Veritas  journalist in late April. Lanza went on to speculate Mayor Bill de Blasio could be inflating the death counts to receive more federal funding. Read more

How is it possible that all of the coronavirus models could have been so completely and utterly wrong about what was going to happen?   Very early in this pandemic, some models that were predicting millions of deaths caused quite a bit of panic all over the globe. In fact, a projection done by researchers at the Imperial College of London warned that  40 million people  could die from COVID-19 this year alone. Obviously that estimate was dead wrong, and it has become quite clear that this pandemic is not an “end of the world” scenario. In an Oval Office interview with  Reuters  published Wednesday night, Trump said he thinks that China is determined to see him lose the November election based on Beijing’s response to the coronavirus, and that he is considering various ways to punish the Chinese government which he he again blamed for allowing the virus to spread across the world. "China will do anything they can to have me lose this race,"  Trump said in the interview and said he was looking at different options in terms of consequences for Beijing over the virus. “I can do a lot,” he said.
